Fire curtains help to keep humans and material goods safe from the flames of a fire.

Buildings can be split up into fire cells with integrated fire curtains that cannot be seen, nor will they get in the way in the use of the facilities. Fire curtains will only appear when a fire alarm goes off. This is when the curtains prove their worth.
